A Note from the Writer

My name is Matthew Fox.

I’m the founder and author of Fox MetaCapital on substack.

The art and science of money & investing was amongst my earliest obsessions and laid the roots for my career as a Commercial Banker as a post-graduate from Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada.

As a young and enthusiastic banker I embarked along a journey to learn the ropes of the financial system with an underlying desire to one day play in the big leagues of Bay Street and Wall Street.

Unexpectedly, my career deviated from this path and in my late twenties as I decided to leave the world of finance to concentrate my focus on a start-up venture in the health & wellness industry that fatefully ended up becoming an incredible personal success.

Years later I’ve now returned to my finance roots dressed in a web3 tailored suit and building a network on crypto-twitter under the moniker @thestoicsatoshi.

After discovering blockchain technology I found myself completely entrenched in the ecosystem as I intuitively believe the future of this technology is helping to transform the legacy financial system and global economy faster than we think.

I decided to launch this substack as a medium to educate, entertain and express my perspectives on the global economy with an underlying bias towards the blossoming of blockchain technology.
